What is Marriage?: Man and Woman : a Defense

I just finished reading 'What is Marriage?: Man and Woman : a Defense' and found it to be very enlightening. It does not aim to be a book about homosexuality but ends up speaking to the consequences of redefining marriage from between a man and a woman to something else. Extending the recognition of marriage to any people or group of people that have strong feelings for each other will have major consequences for society. The claim "it doesn't affect me, people should be able to get married no matter what the arrangement" is false because it will affect all of us. It will affect our basic freedoms such as our freedom of worship/religion.

On another matter, I would like to claim a real tangible benefit to praying together as a couple. It is especially touching when your spouse prays for you and gives thanks for your efforts in your family. This practice draws us closer together as a couple and closer to God. It reminds us of our accountability to Him which in turn affects our behavior. I am thankful for prayer.

Welcome

Welcome to my wife's blog, my blog, our new blog. A purpose of creating this is to help us and you
notice how a common belief in God that is followed by sincere striving to be upright and honest with
Him and each other strengthens marriage. As my grandfather put it we are "two alone but three together," meaning my wife, me, and God. We look forward to exploring the many advantageous effects of faith in God on family life on this site. Living in a world where simply not having a unisex bathroom option, where organizations that do not homogenize men and women, and where a differing opinion is often viewed as offensive we recognize that readers will not agree with all that is said here. That is not the point. We want to simply share how improved relationships with God greatly improve our relationship with each other as couples. We will do this from our experience.
